An overcast, cool morning must have had numerous people decide to stay in bed or at home as the group that left the dealership at 11am for a lunch run to Canterberry Arms in Walkerville was tiny compared to the sunny days we have had in recent months.
Setting the pace on the V-Rod was Andre, Spiderman, Erasmus and leading the pack was Pierre Delport. Eddy Naude' was sweep. A short but pleasant ride of 38 km took us out South on the M1 past Goldreef City onto the Old Vereeniging road into Walkerville.
Canterberry Arms offered us their usual Sunday buffet lunch of three roast meats, Lasagne, rice, potatoes and vegies and an awesome pudding at R55.00. The normal price is R75 which is very reasonable for what is offered. The service was good and the people were friendly. A nice place to visit on a Sunday when you feel like getting out of the city.
If you find yourself on a Golf Course on a Sunday morning you probably don't own a Harley.
Ride safe, take care, see you next Sunday.
